COMPANY FORMATION   

Carter & Carter is a joint venture between Walter S. Carter and his son, Collin Carter. Established in 2005 by Collin Carter as Carter Construction Company, LLC, the name was changed to Carter & Carter Construction, LLC, in September of 2006, when Walter Carter joined Collin to establish a privately held general contracting and construction management company. Based in Auburn, Alabama, the company specializes in mixed-used construction throughout the southeastern United States.

In 2006, Walter Carter and Collin Carter took over the management of Charter Construction Management Company, Inc., which was a division of The Charter Companies in Auburn, Alabama. Providing management of the construction division was part of an agreement with the owner of The Charter Companies to transition the activities of Charter Construction Management to Carter & Carter. The transition was completed in the first quarter of 2008 and Carter & Carter became the preferred builder of multi-family and mixed used developments for The Charter Companies.

COMPANY OWNERS

Collin Carter is a graduate of Auburn University with Bachelor degrees in Building Science and Business Finance and a Masters in Business Administration. Collin began his construction management career with Capstone Construction. Collin joined The Charter Companies of Auburn, Alabama, as a Project Manager and later became the company’s Director of Construction.

Walter Carter joined Collin to establish their privately held general contracting and construction management company. Walter brings 30 years of operational and executive business skills to partner with Collin’s construction expertise.
